  I was AMAZED at how good the food was. My daughter and I left the park for the day around 8:30 PM because we were tired and very hungry, and wanted something different to eat than what could be had in the park (both of us), and less pricey (me). We found that many of the establishments nearby were closing at 9:00, but found that Shakey's was open until 10:00. I literally hadn't eaten at Shakey's in decades and that was probably a lunch buffet, but we reluctantly decided to give it a try because we wanted pizza, it was near the park, and it was open. I cautioned her that since the location was so near the park it likely catered to tourists rather than locals, therefore they probably wouldn't care about their quality, service, or repeat business. Boy was I wrong. We ordered a Firehouse special pizza and the Family Antipasto Salad. The salad was fresh and a great value compared to each of us getting a salad bar. We had plenty of salad leftover for the next day. The pizza was incredible! The toppings (meats, veggies, and cheeses) were delicious and top notch quality. The red sauce had great tomato flavor and was spiced just right for my taste (comparable to Round Table red sauce which I like). The surprise was the crust which was thin and crunchy. I had forgotten how well a thin crust complements the toppings without overwhelming the flavor of the rest of the pizza. I will also add that the staff was mostly attentive, the dining room was large, open, and welcoming, and the tables were still being cleaned up even though we were there an hour before closing. When I'm back in Anaheim I will definitely revisit this Shakey's.
